What Is a New Home Inspection?
New construction does not mean defect-free. A new home inspection provides an independent quality check at the final stage of construction, evaluating workmanship, material installation, and compliance with the approved plans across all visible systems.
Jason identifies incomplete work, safety concerns, and installation defects that the builder's own inspections may miss. You receive a documented report before closing — giving you and your agent leverage to request corrections while the builder is still contractually responsible.

Is This Right for You?
Property Buyers
Buyers of new construction benefit most from this inspection because the builder's own inspections are not independent. A third-party review catches workmanship issues while the builder is still contractually responsible for corrections.
Buyer Inspection →Property Sellers
Builders and developers who want to present completed work with confidence use pre-delivery inspections to catch subcontractor errors before the buyer's own inspector finds them.
Pre-Listing Inspection →Current Homeowners
New homeowners who schedule a final walkthrough inspection before closing have documented leverage to request corrections to incomplete or defective work under the construction contract.
Homeowner Check →On Inspection Day
On inspection day, Jason arrives on schedule and spends two to three hours conducting a thorough, systematic evaluation of the property. You are welcome — and encouraged — to be present for the walkthrough.
As he moves through each area he will explain his findings in plain language, flag items of concern, and answer your questions on the spot. He photographs every significant issue so your report is fully documented.
Your written report — complete with photographs, repair-priority rankings, and a summary of major findings — is delivered digitally within 24–48 hours.
Inspection Day Checklist
- ✓ Utilities on — gas, electric, and water active
- ✓ Pilot lights lit on furnaces and water heaters
- ✓ Clear access to attic hatch, electrical panel, and crawlspace
- ✓ Pets secured or temporarily removed
- ✓ Keys or codes for outbuildings and garages provided
- ✓ Any known repair history disclosed to the inspector
How to Prepare
A few simple preparations on the seller's or homeowner's part help Jason complete the most thorough evaluation possible — and protect everyone's time.
Provide Access
Unlock all areas — basement, attic, detached structures, and outbuildings. Inspectors cannot assess what they cannot enter.
Share Known History
Any receipts, warranties, or permit records for past repairs help Jason put current conditions in context and saves time onsite.
Plan for 2–3 Hours
Most inspections take two to three hours depending on property size. Buyers are encouraged to attend the final 30 minutes for a live summary.
